Planned Giving Match
Are you currently working on your will or thinking about setting one up soon?
Have you ever thought about including a bequest to benefit Wright State University students?
Do you already have a will?
Does your will include a bequest to Wright State, but you haven't notified the Office of Planned Giving about your intentions?
If the answer to any of these questions is "yes," then now may be the perfect time to take action.
In partnership with the Wright State University Foundation, we are offering you the opportunity to leverage a match for including a bequest to Wright State in your will.
How does it work?
If you have already named Wright State as a beneficiary or if you include Wright State in your estate plans, you are eligible for a 10% match on the face value of your future gift. You can apply the match TODAY to a current-use Wright State fund of your choosing. You will still help future Wright State students with your estate gift, but you can also help current students today with the match. It's a win-win!
Who is eligible for the match?
You need to be age 65 or older.
You will need to include Wright State as a beneficiary of your will, living trust, remainder trust, IRA, or insurance policy.
You will be asked to complete and return our confidential bequest intention form ALONG with a copy of the relevant portion of your estate planning document that mentions your future gift to Wright State.
Are there any other guidelines or restrictions?
Your match may be designated to the area of campus you would most like to impact as long as it is a current-use fund. It cannot be designated toward an existing endowment.
Previously documented planned gifts are ineligible for the match.
The match is 10% of the face value of your estate gift, up to a maximum of $10,000.
The match program ends December 31, 2021.
